Guilty of return from transport following the Mercury mutiny.Report from Dunkirk hulk was “troublesome at times”.In June 1789 his rations were reduced to two thirds for three months after an attempt to defraud stores of 34 pounds of meat. On 15 August 1789 he received 50 lashes for being in a hut “having no business there”. He received another 50 in October 1789 for insolence and a further 100 in February 1790 for the theft of three pounds of bread.
